Happy Halloween 2014
Well it's fall and with it comes the weather (Cold, Rainy and yes maybe the white stuff A.K.A. Snow).
But on 10/24/14 it was just a GREAT Day. Here at New Life Ministries we had our Everybody Welcome, Fall Harvest Trunk and Treat.
The car's were decked out for Halloween in costume. Pumpkins,Corn Stalks,Scarecrows,Spiders,Ghost and yes there was even some Geese I saw peeking out of a trunk. But most important to the Children There was Lots of Treats waiting in every car.
Well first it started with Trunk or Treating at the Cars not at the Houses. Then it was time for the Halloween Games. The Pumpkin Bowling was a hit. I know I was hit twice. There was the pumpkin walk, Ring Toss, Pick the Ball, Picture taking with the Giant Cardboard Pumpkin and other Games. And by watching the Children Laughing and smiling, you just knew they were the right games. And every child was winning prizes.
Then after the games were over it was time to go in the Church an enjoy some good food. Hamburgers, hot dogs,cookies and cupcakes and all the trimmings that made lots of smiles.
And then what goes good after a classic meal ? Why yes a Raffle, with prizes for the young and old alike. Then it was time for the Grand Finale. The fall tradition Hay Ride. And the great thing about it this year was they had to make 2 trips because there was so many children.
And to finish this up I'd like to add there was lots of children there. It went off without a hitch (except on Jeff's Pick-up to pull the hay ride trailer). The parents enjoyed watching the Children knowing they were safe while making memories.
